2027 서울 세계청년대회 공식기도문
젊은이를 사랑하시는 주님,
저희를 주님의 무한한 사랑과 자비로 초대해 주심에 감사드립니다.
하느님 아버지,
저희 자신을 당신께 맡겨 드리오니,
온 세상 젊은이들이 교회의 품 안에서 위로받고
친교와 일치의 기쁨을 누리게 하소서.
'이미 그리고 영원히' 세상을 이기신 그리스도님,
"용기를 내어라" 하신 당신의 말씀 안에서
온 세상 모든 이가 희망을 발견하고,
사랑과 용서의 십자가가 세상에 대한 승리임을 깨닫게 하소서.
사랑의 불꽃이신 성령님,
당신의 놀라운 손길로 이 땅에 복음의 씨앗을 심으셨으니,
한국 순교 성인들의 믿음이 저희 가슴에도 타올라
평화와 사랑과 진리의 복음을 살아가는 제자가 되게 하소서.
주님, 이 세계청년대회의 순례 여정을 통해
저희 모두가 서로의 목소리를 경청하고
그 안에서 당신의 뜻을 찾으며,
모든 하느님 백성이 함께 걷는 시노드 교회가 되게 하소서.

Lord, who love the young,
We thank You for inviting us into Your infinite love and mercy.
God our Father,
We entrust ourselves to You.
May the youth of the whole world find comfort within the embrace of the Church, and enjoy the joy of communion and unity.
O Christ, who have overcome the world ‘already and forever,’
In Your words, “Take courage,”
May everyone in the world find hope, and realize that the Cross of love and forgiveness is the victory over the world.
O Holy Spirit, the Flame of Love,
By Your wondrous touch, You have sown the seeds of the Gospel in this land.
May the faith of the Korean Martyr Saints burn within our hearts, that we may become disciples who live the Gospel of peace, love, and truth.
Lord, through this pilgrimage of World Youth Day,
Grant that we may all listen to one another’s voices and seek Your will therein, becoming a Synodal Church where all the People of God walk together.

프란치스코 교황은 2027년 서울 세계청년대회의 주제 성구로 요한복음 16장 33절을 선택하셨습니다. 이 말씀은 최후의 만찬 자리에서 제자들에게 남기신 것으로, 수난과 죽음이 임박한 상황 속에서도 이미 예수님께서 두려움을 떨쳐내시고, 마침내는 죽음을 이기셨다는 깊은 진리를 상기시켜 줍니다. 여기에 담긴 부활에 대한 확신은 단순한 낙관이 아니라, 살아계신 그리스도 안에 깊이 뿌리내린 ‘희망과 용기’를 의미합니다.
오늘날 다양한 갈등, 취업의 불안, 경제적 어려움 등 다양한 도전에 직면한 전 세계 청년들은 2027년 서울에서 열리는 세계청년대회 안에서 ‘세상의 빛과 소금’이 되는 기쁨을 체험하고, 서로 만나 조건 없는 사랑을 경험하며, 깨달은 복음의 기쁨을 자신의 삶 속에서 담대히 실천하는 ‘희망의 순례자’, ‘용기로 가득한 선교사’로 세상에 파견될 것입니다.

Young people—who have "rejoiced in hope" (38th WYD), "walked without tiring" (39th WYD), and "testified" to the Christ they encountered (40th WYD)—now journey toward Seoul with "courage" (41st WYD).
Pope Francis has chosen John 16:33 as the theme for the 2027 World Youth Day in Seoul. These words, spoken to the disciples during the Last Supper, remind us of the profound truth that even in the face of His imminent passion and death, Jesus cast away all fear and ultimately triumphed over death. The conviction of the Resurrection contained in this verse is not mere optimism; it represents 'hope and courage' deeply rooted in the living Christ.
Facing modern challenges such as social conflicts, job insecurity, and economic hardships, young people from around the world will gather at WYD Seoul 2027. There, they will experience the joy of becoming the 'light and salt of the earth' and encounter unconditional love. They will be sent forth into the world as 'pilgrims of hope' and 'courageous missionaries' who boldly live out the joy of the Gospel in their daily lives.
